Let's be friends IRL! Seriously, get out your calendar
All the dates for in-person events & book signings & my first round of classes for 2025
Wowza! Is this real life? A book signing?! TWO book signings, actually!
I have to start by thanking you for making this possible, for being a supporter, and for being on this book journey with me. For all of you who have pre-ordered, you get an extra big hug - it’s a HUGE determiner of my success and I am so grateful that you took a chance early on.
There are quite a few opportunities for hugs and chats coming up, so I wanted to list them all in one place. These dates are great to hold on your calendar, and I’ll continue to send out RSVP links as I have them. Hosting events this close to the holidays is a toughie, but I’m SOOOOO excited!
Not only will I have two book signings (one in Southern California and one in Middle Tennessee), but I’ll be speaking in Seattle in February at what is basically the Met Gala for gardening. If you have never been to a garden show, now is the time. It’s wildly fun and so many of your favorite people (hello, Kevin from Epic Gardening) will be there too.
I am truly so very excited to get to hug you all and see your shining faces. Getting to connect in real life is my favorite part of designing gardens, although it’s such a small sample size of people - maybe two dozen a year. I’m hoping to meet hundreds of new friends over the course of the next few months!
You’ll come to see that while I often get feedback that, “I’m the same as I seem online”… I also cuss a lot more in person. I know that it’s a bit unbecoming of a lady, but ya girl grew up around a campfire with a bunch of rowdy cowboys, and old habits die hard.
I’ll also be at The Homestead Festival this year, which is an institution in Colombia, Tennessee, and close to home for me now. ALL the coolest gardeners and homesteaders hang out there - we’re talking Joel Salatin, folks! Some of my dear online friends will be there too like Annette Thurmon of Azure Farm, RuthAnn Zimmerman, Jill Ragan, and more.
For these bigger events (the flower show and homestead festival) I want to do some meetups so we can hang and get some quality time in, so be on the lookout for that, but also let me know if you’ll also be there and I can get a headcount to start planning something (I check DMs daily too over on Instagram).
