Two years ago my husband and I were incredibly lucky to have a friend offer us their second home in Tennessee so that we could experience living in a new place for a few weeks. While visiting, I set up a ton of adventures and meetings, hoping to get to know some of the people in the farm and garden space in Tennessee.
I took to DMs on Instagram and sent a message to Lauren Palmer, owner of Bloomsbury Farm. Bloomsbury is such a beautiful farm with family events on Fridays, farmer’s market, CSA program, cut flowers, a farm school, and so much more. I was IN LOVE with her vision for the farm and so invited myself over to meet her 😂.

Lauren and I both had three-month old babies who we were wearing in carriers, plus our older kids. She drove us around the farm and showed me all the hoop houses and we talked about events and her vision for the brand. I was so impressed by how much she accomplishes each year and how the farm is a destination, not just land for crops.
When we chatted about gardening it became apparent that there’s a very different approach to growing food for masses than growing for a family. Lauren was sharing how guests often ask for garden advice or classes, but how that’s not really their wheelhouse.
And so …
We’ve kept in touch, and now two years later I get to teach those very classes! Live and in-person gardening workshops! Eeeeeek!
We are so excited to host everyone and provide a ton of value and fun.
The first two workshops

COMPANION PLANTING
As we have early Spring coming soon, I wanted to share a video explaining the four top reasons why we companion plant.
I hope you’re having the most fabulous week and enjoying this final winter push.
Sending so much love,
