The soil should be workable in eight weeks (in my US hardiness zone of 7B), which is very soon in gardenerland and quite frankly giving me the spooks as I don’t even have my raised beds built. Most seedlings take about 8 weeks to get to a good place to transplant, so if you’re starting seeds indoors to get a jump on the season, now is the time to jump.

Seed starting soil mix: 1/2 Compost and 1/2 “Cultivation Nation” from Fox Farm soil mix (coconut coir and perlite)
How to figure out when to start *your* seeds: find your US Hardiness zone HERE. Then you look up your “last frost date” which is the last frost from the winter season, indicating your soil will be safe to start planting in.
